Ryan Nieves (b. 1993) is an illustrator, fine artist, and writer from Staten Island, New York. Practicing the art of traditional drawing since early childhood, it was around his freshman year of college where he decided to get serious and wanted to commit to the arts professionally. A mostly self-taught artist, a majority of his work is dark in nature and explores concepts rooted in horror. He was inspired to take this route with his art after discovering the Silent Hill video game series. He also takes inspiration from Japanese horror, especially the supernatural aspects stemming from stories, games, and movies.
Ever since, he has been creating his pieces, illustrations, and concept art primarily in graphite, a medium he loves and strives to master. On occasion, Ryan explores other themes besides horror in his work. His passion is to share his unique visions and stories with people. To show them something interesting, unique, and exciting in the genre he works in.
Ryan is available for contracted work, concept work, and gallery shows. To inquire about his current availability, please email [email protected]
