I am an artist, healer and poet living in Baltimore. I am deeply affected by the landscapes I have visited and inhabited. I spent 20 years living in Northern New Mexico and Cape Cod Massachusetts.
My work is an exploration of these expanses both interior and exterior through light, line, color, the figure, and the energy fields of the body. My oil paintings are a bridging of the ephemeral and the unchanging through my experience as a human being, my emotions, my dreams, the inner terrain.
I have loved traveling and painting in new landscapes outdoors, where the eye becomes entrained with the air, the wind, the mist, the smells, the people, the very physicality of the earth—where the gap can be closed between outside and inside through paint. This past year has been a new exploration into Charcoal drawings inspired by Rocks, Earth, Sky and Water.
