My name is Kristin Elsen, self-identified introvert and pragmatic optimist. While you'll currently find me among the oaky boughs of Raleigh, North Carolina, I was born in the sandy drylands of southeastern Washington state, where I lived among the sagebrush and quailsong for the first 30 years of my life.
When I'm not designing enamel pins at tibbindesigns.com, you might stumble across me behind a camera in a garden admiring plants and insects up close and personal, wondering what secrets they've been privy to when no one else was paying attention. Everything I create is taken digitally with no airbrushing and minimal post-processing (color matching, profile edits and exposure adjustment to match the composition's mood and how I saw it when I captured it). I feel each photo is best experienced as a physical print, made tangible and held in one's hands.
Check out more of my work at instagram.com/tibbin, where you'll see behind the scenes work, photos that don't quite make the cut, and, of course, my cats. Thank you for your support! ❤
