I've always been a rather creative fellow - spending my childhood generally covered in paint and glitter. A bit older I studied music, dance and psychology, trying to fit visual art around the edges when I could until one day I stopped and thought why am I fitting my passion around the sides of my life?!
The label Elvedee Design was launched in 2006 with a range of greeting cards. The catalyst being catching my cat in the act of devouring a bunch of flowers on my dining table. A flicker of annoyance before I saw inspiration and drew the scene...and that was it! I started selling my cat greeting cards at my dance troupe, then opened up a Redbubble account and then...went back to school to study graphic design and illustration.
Years later I am now selling my artwork through art and craft markets (currently The Rose St. Artists' Market & Heide Makers Market), select retail outlets and on Etsy. I love to explore the weird and wonderful, cute and quirky and...well...cats.
