Hello! My name is Keviette Minor and I'm from Santa Rosa, California, however, I am currently studying at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. I've been drawing since I was 2 years old, and from my childhood up into my young adulthood, I've used art as my voice. My work centers around telling the stories of my life, my experience as a Black woman in America, and any issues that are important to me or have affected my life either directly or indirectly. In my work Black people are at the forefront of the composition, as representation is extremely important to me. My biggest inspirations are Kara Walker, Kehinde Wiley and Kerry James Marshall.
