Painted in 2007, "Trapped!" was a successor to "The Journey Begins". My goal was to show a scene that might have happened beyond the magic portal. I also wanted to experiment with a more colorful and cartoony style. The design of the characters differs a lot from what would later appear in the "Wormworld Saga" graphic novel but I integrated the scene with a little trick: in the first chapter of the "Wormworld Saga", Jonas tells his family about a fantasy he had when he was playing in the woods. At this point he's describing exactly the scene that can be seen in "Trapped!".
