Painted in 2006, "The Journey Begins" marks a very important milestone for me personally. It won second place in a 2006 "CG Challenge", held by the CG Society, which kick-started my self publishing aspirations on the internet. The painting also introduced the public to Jonas, the protagonist of the epic fantasy graphic novel series "The Wormworld Saga", which I started to publish in 2010.
