Using the hard shell on its back, the Brittle Gryphon hides in piles of rock and concrete, waiting to lunge at whatever trips over it's extended tail. The largest on record measured 14 ft tall, making it one of the more visually menacing creatures found in the rubble of Vellen City. They don't typically attack Scraphoppers however, only because they're difficult to eat with all of the rusted metal shielding they tend to wear which is difficult to chew through with a beak.
