The conception of this piece happened during a time in which I was struggling to find a way to deal with a chronic skin condition that heavily affected my hands. At times, my dominant hand was unable to perform day-to-day tasks - especially drawing. Feeling defeated, I channeled that energy into a new concept for a graphite drawing that would allow me to work on something long-term. Through this illustration, I discovered ways to work around it and embrace the fact that the universe was telling me to slow down.
