I've often wondered if it is the mirror, or my eyes are what they really are in it. Then it dawns on me that it is the eye that ogles everything - that stain under lips, the little wink, the finest strands of silver on head, translucent tears behind spectacles, or even things behind the head. The eye ogles everything. And it is surreal for the eye to ogle itself - the eye for the eyes.
