A group of Masai women decided to steer away from normal traditions and like the greek mythology's 'Amazons', train a female-only group of warriors. Before young women transition into being real warriors they have to kill a lion. This tradition starts with wearing a ceremonial armour that represents adulthood.
The young woman here is quietly getting mentally prepared for the hunt.
I am a Freelance Visual Designer and Illustrator living and working in the Netherlands. I primarily work digital, but I often get my pencils and paint out. Grabbing inspiration from the people around me, music and art, I love to construct images that spark melancholy and wonder.
