Kara is a valkyrie in Norse mythology, attested in the prose epilogue of the Poetic Edda poem Helgakvida Hundingsbana II.
The name Kara means "the wild, stormy one" (based on Old Norse afkarr, meaning "wild").
Kara is an illustration for the Valkyria project, Norse tales retold from the point of view of the valkyries. See more at www.valkyria.studio
