"Baneslayer Angel" by Greg Staples.
Baneslayer Angel was first issued in the Magic the Gathering Magic 2010 Core Set in July 2009, it was re-issued in Magic 2011 in July 2010.
Initially this was going to be the art for the Serra Angel, but it was considered to be too ethereal so Greg redid Serra Angel and this image became the Baneslayer Angel.
Born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire in 1970, Greg Staples started illustrating as soon as he could pick up a pencil.
From a very young age, Greg had an interest in comics and drew anything and everything. Although Greg was highly credited at school for his artistic accomplishments, when it was time to train formally he was told ‘there was no money in illustration’ by his tutors. So on leaving school, he decided to train as an architect. However, his ambition to become an illustrator was so strong, he decided to quit after three years to pursue his passion.
This is a gallery-quality giclée art print on 100% cotton rag archival paper, printed with archival inks. Each art print is listed by sheet size. Our 4 inch prints feature a minimum half-inch margin while larger sizes feature a minimum one-inch margin.
