Inspired by the latin locution “deus ex machina” (“the god is an artifice” a dramatic resource used by the ancients in their theatrical representations), the religious idea of the creation/genesis “Ex nihilo” (out of nothing) and the technological singularity.
The original illustration was created as cover for the album “Deus Ex Machina” by Shiva (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pGEIlWhTfn8).
This is an enhanced and extended new version.
Illustration from scratch: black ink lines over white papper. Digitized and coloured in Krita with Wacom Cintiq Pro 13, final process in Photoshop CC.
