Despite its prevalence as one of the most common fantasies, foot fetishism has often been relegated to the shadows, perceived as a taboo or ‘underground’ paraphilia. Only a handful of artists, such as pioneering photographer Elmer Batters, have dared to portray foot and stocking fetishism in an artistic light.
