This painting was inspired by the stories of all those out there who had to give up on something due to a reason outside of their control. It was inspired by the girl who could no longer play violin because of a car accident, the actor who could do longer act because of rumors, the student who had to be home schooled because of bullying. I hope to inspire others to move on to new pursuits rather than linger in the sadness, because there are so many possibilities out there in the world.
Sonder Blue is a self-taught surrealist painter. Behind each of her paintings is a heartfelt story, and the remnants of an unfulfilled dream. She often says that she paints for "all the lonely souls out there who stopped searching for stars.”
