I love the similarities and differences between these two whales. They have similar shapes, yet are very different on closer examination. the bowhead can live for hundreds of years and specimens have been found with old harpoon tips lodged in their flesh. And of course the right whale was hunted to near extinction in the 1700s. It's up to us to protect both of these majestic species, and all whales!
