The Adelaide Hills are one of the best sites in Australia to find good crystals. It is has been documented that ‘room-sized’ cavities lined with crystals or ‘vughs’ have been found there up to nearly a metre long. Apparently, the hundreds of crystals discovered in these vughs would make a ‘tinkling’ sound due to the powdery dry clay surrounding them.
