Growing up, I had long hair. It got in the way sometimes. So, the story of Rapunzel always confused me--how did she get around? Didn't it get in the way?
To me, it also represents the things we carry around with us unnecessarily. Didn't she know she could just cut it off? Why did she just let it grow and grow? Why keep carrying something so cumbersome around? We all do that, when we get used to certain "burdens" I think.
