Iz met Jeremy in New Orleans in 1927. They had a little somethin’ maybe but it didn’t go anywhere. When she left, he eventually went to Paris. In 1929, Iz and Finney sold all of Iz’s things and ran off to Paris. When she started performing again, Jeremy sought her out and they started a double act. They would remain dance partners off and on again for at least a couple decades. (They were in the Ziegfeld Follies of ’31 together.)
Iz and Finney moved on to Berlin later that year. Jeremy stayed in Paris.
Paris!Iz was probably the happiest Iz after she left the circus in 1926. She treated Finney like her One and Only and was in total control of her career. BUT THEN SOMEONE (named Ian) GOT ENGAGED.
