The 1939 Belgian Grand Prix was a motor race held on 25 June 1939 at Spa-Francorchamps. This Mercedes-Benz poster was created by the renowned Hans Liska. to announce the victory of the Mercedes-Benz cars. The winner of the race was Hermann Lang, driving his Mercedes-Benz W154 car, with Manfred von Brauchitsch getting third in an identical vehicle. Of the six racers that finished the race, three were German and three were French. The only British driver was Richard Seaman also driving the Mercedes 154 for the Daimler-Benz team, but he crashed in to a tree. He was rescued from his burning car by a Belgian soldier, but having suffered burns on 60% of his body, he sadly died that night.
