The Leopard comes in five subspecies that live across the continents of Africa and Asia. Easily recognizable due to their distinctive open rosette pattern (though occasionally misidentified as a Jaguar, their Americas living cousin), they have been a popular animal throughout their history. Samantha Mash grew up in the dry marsh area of Palo Alto, California. After graduating high school she headed north to forested Portland, Oregon where she has resided ever since. Samantha currently works as a freelance illustrator.
