Radioactive- Awakening Series 53
This calligraphic painting draws inspiration from music, in this case Imagine Dragons - Radioactive
I call these calligraphic rifts where music is used as a jumping off point to interpret the gesture of the painting. The structure of the painting is then laid on top to convey what I believe the song carries.
My calligraphy pays homage to both traditional and abstract calligraphic works as drawn from the calligraphy mark making of different geographies and eras.

I am a self trained artist.
I use drawing and painting to express and interpret the world through line,shape, form and being composed in a work of art. I paint both representational and non representational in order to achieve a story.
Within calligraphy my focus is on the Trajan and Latin alphabets using controlled technique counterbalanced against expression to achieve an aesthetic.
My work varies from whimsical to commercial and finally personal.
