Elephants are initially tied up with strong chains or ropes. The elephants push against them in every direction and, failing to go where they want, they eventually learn their boundaries. Afterward, the trainers only need a small or no rope to keep them in place because the elephants have the boundaries embedded in their minds. In the same way, we all go through life with imaginary boundaries simply because we didn’t find success right away. Failure leads to learning. We need to embrace the struggles in life to break free.
