TAURUS ♉️; latin for “bull” is the second astrological sign in the zodiac. The sign of Taurus is associated with several myths and bull worship from several ancient cultures. I chose to represent The Capture of the Cretan Bull, the seventh of Heracles’s Twelve Labor.
Heracles was sent to capture the bull sent by Poseidon some time ago (the one Minos was supposed to sacrifice to Poseidon and when he refused his wife fell in love and had to give birth to Asterius aka the Minotaure yes that one) by Eurystheus. Whereupon Minos gave Heracles permission to take the bull away as he had been wreaking havoc on Crete by uprooting crops and leveling orchard walls.
embarrassingly into mythology and terrible at drawing straight lines.
