AQUARIUS ♒️ ; from “aquarius” latin for “water carrier”, is the eleventh astrological sign in the zodiac.
While nowadays it is common to see Aquarius represented by a woman emptying a water amphora; the story associated with Aquarius is the one of Ganymede.
Ganymede was the son of Tros, king of Troy, who caught Zeus’s eye (sigh) before he decided to seduce and kidnap him by transforming into an eagle (siiiiiiigh). On Olympus, Ganymede became Zeus’s cupbearer hence the name aqurarius: the water carrier.
