Fairy Dancing in the Clouds
This painting was inspired by the “rainbow color feather dance” (霓裳羽衣舞) which was a Tang Dynasty court dance music describing the myth that in the dream of emperor Tang Xuan Zong (唐玄宗) he yearned for the gods and went to the moon palace and saw the dancing fairies.
Retired architect and a lifetime Chinese calligrapher and brush painter. Now lives in California.
