I love summer, but I HATE heat. When the weather turns so scorching hot that my brain quits its day job, I am very unhappy. It was all I could do this year do pour my discontent into this small acrylic painting (that, by the way, required more paint than you would think since they dried up so fast).
The heatwave is a gripping fist with a tight hold on people, so it seemed perfect to make this fist look like a weather chart (they do not seem to be normed, so I went with what I saw on the news during the hot days). Only outside do they calming greens and pale yellows of way under 20°C await. Funny enough, they day I finished this was the last very hot day and temperatures returned to normal. Art magic?
I work mostly in the games industry with a spoonful of book covers, and prefer the fantasy/scifi genres - because we know what the so-called real world is like already, so why not expand? Besides painting, I love creating worlds by writing tiny snippets of stories for my personal works.
Love of learning is my strongest drive in life, and in my personal work I try lots and lots of new ways of creating art, changing medium, subject, and goals frequently.
I live in northern Germany with my partner and three cats of which only one isn't black.
