This artwork was inspired by the feeling of cold determination that one gets when faced by overwhelming odds. The fact that your view of yourself and no one elses determines whether you push forward or drift away.
The giant mech rises behind the character, signifying the overwhelming strength and determination that the character feels. The environment is a frigid one representing the harsh world we live in, cold and uncaring. The geese flying away in fright represent the doubts and fears of the character, frightened by the vastness of his determination (the mech).
