The sorrow inspired this piece in my own life and, on a larger scale, the suffering we hear about in other parts of the world. This expression of inner sorrow sparked a pursuit for knowledge, artistic and intellectual, searching for beauty and truth. My name’s Ngima Thogo. I am a 25-year-old digital artist based in Nairobi. Before the COVID error, I worked as a photographer in the city while doing art on the side. COVID kind of threw a wrench into the whole photographer thing. Still, it gave me more opportunities and time to focus on my design work.
