The crimson blush hiding amongst the green, nearly eclipsed by the cracks of bright pink and white of their brighter peers.
Still it's raining in my heart
Every time we are apart
And the sun won't shine today
So I have to walk away

Impressionistic in style, or more closely - post impressionism, Highgarden is a floral still life in my Flaahrs series, expanding upon the experimental drip technique I've begun to employ. The looseness of the flower's execution is echoed in the dripping lines, which in turn echoe the stems of the roses. Stems which are normally hidden by the foliage and are often only seen after the flowers have been cut and condemned to die in a vase. All of which is a metaphor for loss and sadness and new life and old life and death. A lot to pin on one painting.
It's cliche to say that my work represents parts of myself.
My work often lacks focus but makes up for it with passion.
It is prone to overcast landscapes and casual nudity.
In my work, I strive for an ideal I hold in my head. It's a difficult ideal to nail down, often mired in Impressionism but wavering into Post-Impressionism, eroticism, contemporary street with a goth tinge, scribbles. I digress. Often.
