A gouache illustration of a Blackbird (Turdus merula)
The common blackbird (Turdus merula) is a species of true thrush. It breeds in Europe, Asia, and North Africa, and has been introduced to Canada, United States, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, the Falkland Islands, Chile, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Born in Lisbon, Portugal. I studied in Porto and started working on animation right off college. After spending two years as a volunteer in Benguela, Angola, I returned to Portugal and started working in painting and illustrating.
The love of the relationship between sketch and color moves me to constantly try and find a balance in my work.
