The peninsula of Kullaberg, on the south-west coast of Sweden, hosts the oldest lighthouse location in Scandinavia, Kullen.
The local folklore is rich in tales about drowned sailors who did not find peace in death. Their ghosts are said to roam the costs restlessly at night, their ghastly shrieks resonating far inland.
My art is a blend of both traditional and digital media. I love to draw in pencil and/or ink, and then color digitally, while trying to maintain a traditional feel. Sometimes I work fully digital if the project requires more flexibility in terms of image manipulation.
I’ve always been fascinated and inspired by the strongly narrative, densely detailed and yet delicate works by old masters such as Rackham, Rockwell, Doré, Bauer, Larsson, Clarke and Rossetti, just to name a few.
