My question from the beginning was 'how cybernetic was she going to be?' So I worked with a few quick ideas during the sketch phase until I found something I was comfortable with. I also had considerations with her eyes and make-up late in the process, I wanted more pop and I think it worked out for the better. I wanted a tattoo on her arm from the beginning, but I reserved dwelling on it until I had all of the major elements locked down. I wanted her to have a tattoo that represented that her spirit is still grounded in nature and in life, even though her body isn't completely natural anymore due to unfortunate circumstances; but she's comfortable in her new & old skin regardless.
