Hand-cut collage - 2018
One of the gravest consequences of modern life is the sense of alienation and loneliness it fosters in people. It is typical to view people in such a state as essentially harmless; when, in truth, some are seething with rage. If their rage becomes pathological and fuelled by nihilism and a hatred of being, the consequences can be catastrophic, not only for themselves, but for all those around them.
Originally from New Zealand, I now live on the Isle of Man.
My collages primarily concern the human condition, with reference to psychology, religion, philosophy, history, pop-culture and more.
My paintings are primarily abstract and explore the beauty of color and form and my love of intricate detail.
