When the Smithy Gods forged the 5 Golden Nails it was their thinking that any mortal to obtain the nail would use it to build their empire. It’s was, of course, a surprise when the frost giant Wengo, the yak herder, stumbled across one amid the frozen tundra. Frost giants are rarely noted for their intelligence and Wengo quickly used the artifact to accessorize his club. The Smithy Gods didn’t object and figured the Nail would end up in the possession of some conquering hero at some future point. Again to their surprise, Wengo remained the sole custodian of the Nail until the end of his life, dying of old age and the owner of the largest yak herd the world would never hear of.
