I was laying in bed, and all a sudden I had an idea to rework this drawing a bit. I was talking with a friend of mine about S. Thompson and his work the day before. Then I took a break from the other painting that I'm working on and did this one, the guys that joined the stream loved the idea and the look. As you can see, I took my time with it, overpainted the cigar and the brain, added the glasses, had half of the canvas covered with references from the movie "fear and loathing in Las Vegas". The only trouble that I had was with the aviator shades, I was painting without hiding the part of them with the nose, it was looking really weird, was tweaking that for around 3 hours, then at the end, I had a FacePalm moment, just had to erase few millimeters, and it worked perfectly... Sometimes the obvious is hidden.
