Pono (b. 1996, ze/they) is a multimedia and interdisciplinary narrative artist based in Minneapolis, MN. Ze works with found wooden boards, cardboard, sketchbook scraps, Little Free Library books, office supplies like highlighters and scotch tape, ink, acrylics, fountain pens, children’s art supplies, and digital painting. They create landscape paintings, comics, puzzles, miniature books destined for Little Free Libraries, illustrations, zines, collages, animations, music, and video art. They also write poems and short stories. The worlds in ze’s writing and art are often the same, which helps Pono work toward their goal of creating a universe of art objects and artifacts. ...
