A symbol of new beginnings, which is fitting as it is not uncommon to see large groups of them "Stands" following natural disturbances such as logging or fire. This tree tends to grow along river beds next to other mixed hardwoods. Birch trees have peeling paper-like bark that allows for better gas exchanges, ridding itself of parasites and faster growth.
The original painting was made with only 3 Derwent Inktense Pencils, a black outliner, and some white acrylic paint.
