The 3rd Panel in the HMCS York commissioned piece dedicated to the Junior Rank's Mess. The original hangs at the naval reserve unit HMCS York in Toronto.
My intention was to capture the essence and beauty of being a sailor in the Canadian Forces. The painting depicts an operation involving two MCDVs, a small boat and two helicopter working together. We can see some boatswains working on the forecastle deck alongside some special forces MTOG personnel who are responsible for security.
