This was a rainy day in december in Amsterdam close to the Oosterpark, as seen from my bicycle on my way to my studio.
The flow of cyclists in Amsterdam, on their way to and from work or school, fascinates me. Going along in that flow, I take pictures when I ride my bicycle to my studio, and use these as groundwork for the drawings I create.
Drawings not overflowing in detail but immediately recognisable as if straight from an Amsterdam collective memory.
