The local fishermen say that sighting a mermaid is an omen of good luck. Not only because of superstition, but because they are oft followed by schools of fish, which cling to the colossal seafolk for protection from larger predators.
Davey and Deny were having a nice saturday afternoon on the beach when just such an omen, breached near their boat.
Done as part of the mermay challenge, but I liked the end result enough to make it a print.
