Something I miss from my youth is night fishing at Fort Peck lake in Montana. The night would be calm and the water would be like glass, there often was a sweet smell in the air that was an attribute of the summers there. You could hear the nocturnal creature come to life, bugs would swarm the lantern with their soft buzzing and small minnows would dart along the shore in front of you, inches away from your feet. Friends would chat about life and talk about local ghost stories, monster sightings, or UFOs. The dark skys were filled with a vast amount of stars and you could see the Milky Way on some of the best nights. The nights themselves seemed to have a life of its own. It was like a form of meditation, calming the soul and resetting the mind.
Have a BFA and an Associates degree in graphic design but really love illustration! If I had a choice between making a business card or drawing, drawing would win every time. So hoping to make a transition to full time Illustrator one day!
