Who doesn't like a sweet capybara?
This little guy is the king of the esteros, he loves drinking from his handmade pumpkin mate and to host butterflies in his snout. He loves everybody and his enemies are nonexistent.
After all, nothing can bother nor is worth of the attention of a true king.

The Esteros del Iberá is a swamp area located in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. It is filled up with capybaras (locally known as carpinchos). The name "Su Majestad el Carpincho" translates to "Your Majesty the Capybara"
The "mate" is a local infusion typical in Argentina, in which a special herb (yerba mate) is mixed and drunk with water from a vase like the one you see on the capybara's paws
The butterfly on the capybara's snout is a hint on the gentle and loving personality of this animal, so friendly that is sometimes mistaken as domestic.
I'm an illustrator and graphic designer based in Corrientes, Argentina.
I love details, b&w and minimalism, hope you like my work :)
