Atlantis was a great kingdom somewhere beyond Gibraltar. The climate was comfortable, and the soil so rich that even elephants could live on these islands. The kingdom was rich in culture as well.
On their way to glory, the kings of Atlantis raided the coasts of Mediterranean Sea. When they came to Athens, the outnumbered warriors supported by goddes Athene stopped their campaign.
Zeus, angry and disgusted about the corruption and lack of wisdom of the atlantic people, punished them and the islands of Atlantis sank into the roaring sea.
