This artwork was inspired by some of the dark dreams I have had, often when I go to sleep I immediately enter a dark lucid dream, I end up falling/flying downwards into darkness, sometimes tunnels/hoops appear, normally black and white but sometimes dark hues of color as well, when flying down the feeling is very intense.
I normally hear screams of other people at some point, sometimes they say my name or are speaking in unintelligible foreign languages. This used to frighten me in the past and it would often wake me up or I would fight it to try and wake myself up, but now I am not afraid of the screams and just ignore them and wait for them to pass. It actually really sounds like I pass them, as if they are located somewhere near the top of fall or it’s just a level/plane of reality where people are screaming and I only hear them once I pass them. It gets uncomfortable at times, it feels like I’m having a seizure, my body vibrates frantically, I can’t breathe properly and my heart feels like it’s going to burst out of my chest. Again these experiences don’t really bother me anymore and I just ride out the sensation and try to stay calm.
Sometimes I just end up in complete darkness, I feel my body free, I can move any limb at will and rise or lower the intensity of energy around me with my thoughts. At this very low or deep level I can not see anything, it's usually complete darkness, warm, quiet and all I have are my thoughts and my energy, those moments are peaceful.
