Pockets of pulled air tumble upon each other in abrupt confusion as a few hungry fish ascend the depths for sustenance. Despite the chaos in this drawing it's a relaxing image. The swirls of cool colors in the water and the arches of the waves in what is an unusually vertical image are gentle on the eyes. Unless you have a moniter which can rotate to a vertical position this is a drawing which is hard to fully appreciate unless it's on a wall.
Born and raised in Hawaii, I've been around natural beauty all my life. Through college I dabbled in many different media and determined that of the arts, traditional drawing was what I most enjoyed.
I believe that much of the beauty of art comes from the ability for the artist to discover through mistakes; a trickle of paint that couldn’t have been planned, a line askew that forms the spine of inspiration. Repercussions are part of the human existence and I choose to replicate that experience in my art so as it may become more beautiful an endeavor.
