福 [fú] means 'fortune' in Chinese. Growing up, we would always have this character written on scrolls or in pictures and hung up around the house. I drew this piece for Chinese New Year back in February but is intended not only to celebrate the holiday, but also to celebrate good luck in general.
We all need a little good fortune in our lives. :)
