A Japanese boy studies an ancient scroll under a curious tree bursting with pink spring cherry blossoms, which appears to be actually a slumbering Eastern Dragon.
It started with the idea of a little boy curled up reading in a blossoming cherry tree, only the tree is really a dragon and his reading material is an ancient scroll. Perhaps the dragon is somehow imprisoned as a tree and the boy keeps him company by reading to him?
(Note: I made up the "language" on the scroll, as I did not want to embarrass myself with a nonsensical cut and paste job of any real language.)
