The sea is wasting away, drying up. It’s already as good as dead and as good as gone and no good to no one. Some catastrophe has lead to it’s rapid death. As the water fell and shrunk away the rotting hulks of the many fallen ships that had long been resting on the sea floor were again revealed. The earth beneath quickly dried and the salty sand was easily kicked into the air and tossed around by the winds.
Some opportunists such as this knight descended into the drying basin to grab up any loot trapped inside the doomed wrecks. He figured he weren’t the only one poking around these vessels so he keeps his sword drawn to cut the others down whenever happened upon.
